Here’s Your Marketing Checklist

I hope you were able to take a few days off and enjoy the Holiday Season. It’s back to work now and there’s a lot to do.  Not the least of which is making sure that you hit your revenue targets projected for the year.

What I find is that although everyone wants to increase their practice revenues and their number of patients, hardly anyone actually has any practice marketing ideas that they can follow. Plus their implementation is not a well thought out process but instead is done on the fly and the same is true for monitoring systems that may be in place.

Let’s take one example of a System you should be monitoring – Your Website.   Now you might be asking yourself WHY!  There are several good reasons why you should be doing this:

  1. Your website is your 24/7 salesperson.  How much revenue does 1 patient provide yearly? And if you get one client it stands to reason that other family members or friends will follow.
  2. You need to know how long a website visitor stays on your website and if they leave without going to any other pages.  This will tell you if you need to fix the marketing process on your site so visitors convert to patients.
  3. You need to know what pages on your website are the most visited.  Take a look at the percentage of visitors that went to your “Contact Us” page.
  4. What percentage of your traffic is coming from mobile or tablet devices.  In 2011 there were more mobile and tablet devices sold than PCs!  Have you even looked at your website through one of these devices?
  5. Do you capture any email addresses from your website?  A website with email capture systems can build a database of highly interested, highly qualified prospects that, if nurtured, will convert to paying patients.

8 Point Checklist For A Website

  • Have you set up Google Analytics to view your on-line statistics?
  • Is your website on the 1st page of Google?
  • Do you have a functional Email Capture System?
  • Is there a “Contact Us” link on every page?
  • How easy is it for the visitor to get to the services they came to the website for?
  • Do you have testimonials on the first page?
  • Are there any “Special Offers” that are visible on the front page of your website?
  • Do you have tracking systems on your website to measure, track and monitor visitor response?

You are competing with all the other practices in your area for those website surfers who are looking for your services and those prospects are calling or going to someone, why isn’t it you?
